About Us
Education and Access for Every Recovery
The Concussion Recovery Foundation is a nonprofit focused on community education, making mild traumatic brain injury care accessible to everyone.
How We Began
As healthcare professionals, we saw too many individuals and families struggling to find clear answers after a concussion. This foundation was created to fill those gaps in understanding and access, ensuring no one faces recovery without clear information, proper support, and treatment. Our focus is on making mild traumatic brain injury care accessible and understandable for everyone.
Our Values
Community First
We prioritize the needs of our local neighbors, ensuring that concussion education reaches every corner of our community.
Clear Information
We break down complex medical terms into simple, actionable steps so families feel confident in their recovery journey.
Accessible Care
We strive to remove barriers to treatment, making sure that quality brain injury care is available to everyone.
Compassion in Recovery
We approach every individual with warmth, supporting the emotional and physical aspects of healing.
The Impact We Seek
We hope to see a community where every medical provider, parent, caregiver, coach, and indivdual can recognize the subtle signs of a concussion immediately. By shifting from uncertainty to understanding, we aim to ensure that no minor head injury goes unnoticed or untreated.
Our goal is to build a network of support that helps people safely return to school, work, and daily life after a concussion. While we care deeply about young athletes and safe return to play, we also support individuals whose mild traumatic brain injuries come from car accidents, slip and falls, and other causes. No matter how the injury happened, we want people to feel seen, supported, and guided.
